Jeg har fått en Lenovo T400 som forlot fabrikken i slutten av august. Denne fungerte ikke med Hardy (skjermen ser ut som om frekvensen er feil, men det er det vel neppe). Paa alfa5 av Ibex fungerte nesten alt glimrende. Skjerm, wifi med WPA2, mm. Lyd kommer foreløpig ikke ut av de innebygde høyttalerne, jeg har ikke giddet å teste med hodetelefon.
Oppløsningen på skjermen var ikke for widescreen på LiveCDen, dette kan ordnes ved å gå på System -> Preferences -> Screen Resolution, fjern avhuking for Mirror screens, velg så Detect displays og deretter nytt valg 1280x800.
Maskinen er Centrino 2 hele veien (bortsett fra lykort, selv om det tilsvarer Intel HDA). Dermed burde resultatet også kunne ekstrapoleres til andre maskiner. Men det ser ut som om det fungerer best på 2.6.27 og eventuelt nyere... 2.6.24 gjør ihvertfall ikke susen.

Har samme lydkort selv, det er et helt standard Intel HDA Lydkort. Fungerer fint her, men saa bruker jeg ikke ALSA (ser ut som ALSA sliter med HDA).

6 celler ja, stikker (i motsetning til markedsføringsmaterialet) ut 2 cm på baksiden, men det er ikke så ille.
Batteriverktøyet sa 4 timer med websurfing over wifi, men hvis jeg har regnet riktig klarer den 30-60 minutter til, nå mens batteriet er nytt.

Jeg er nok en av de som sikler på denne selv om jeg er godt fornøyd med min T61.
Det er vel 3 CPU alternativer som er rasjonelle mht batteritid - 8400,8600P og en i 9serien. Er usikker på om Intel's grafikkløsning er den rette mht f.eks flash som bruker GPU om en ikke har Compiz påslått. Jeg tror nok at det må være LED backlit og 9cell batteri i min konfigurasjon når det blir aktuelt. Den amerikanske Lenovositen lar brukere sette sammen selv - inkludert serviceavtaler som ikke er så ikke....
