Dem jeg prøvde var windows å mac.fikk ikke åpnet guide linux må kansje i terminal.
Skal dt være så vanskelig så får jeg heller ta et linux kurs for å åpne en mappe med instrukser må jeg i terminal som igjn jeg ikke vet kommando på ,nei jeg går for noe som er kompitabelt hp.Detta minner meg om skole tia jeg forstod ikke oppgavene spørsmål og kun heller ikke gi svar, nei jeg gir opp :-/

Ja, kan man ikke og heller ikke forstår bruk av basic Linux kommandoer, blir det vanskelig. Linux og applikasjoner er ikke nødvendig vanskeligere for vanlige brukere, når man får hjelp med installasjonen og oppsettet.

Jeg vil bare legge til at der også er en Canon user's guide for linux driveren:

Også denne lastes ned som en gzippet tar ball, som må pakkes ut. I filhåndtereren på Gnome (som jeg bruker), ble dette gjort uten bruk av en eneste terminalkommando. Resultatet blir en mappe med html innhold som leses i nettleseren.

Ved å følge denne guiden slavisk, utføres installasjonen via et shellskript 'install.sh'. Dette ligger i mappa 'cnijfilter-mg6300series-3.80-1-rpm', der driveren allerede er pakket ut. Iflg. guiden synes installasjonen å ivareta 'registrering' av skriveren, enten den er USB kablet eller WiFi tilkoplet (ip-adresse).

Ja, HP med hplip har kanskje den beste støtten for Linux av alle leverandørene. Forutsatt at du velger en skrivermodell eller All-in-One med full driverstøtte for 'Print-Scan-Fax' i hplip, sparer du deg i hvertfall for installasjon av driverne. Sjekk modeller med slik støtte her:

På openSUSE er hplip installert fra før, og integrert med YaST Printeroppsett. Da skal du i prinsippet kunne gjøre hele oppsettet bare via gui, jfr. knappene Tilkoplingsveiviser og Kjør hp-setup på det tidligere skjermbildet jeg sendte

Jeg satte som også nevnt opp vår HP DJ PS plotter på kontoret med dette. På Windows måtte jeg installere driveren fra medfølgende HP CD. For HP trådløsskriver eller AiO. trenger du selvsagt ip-adressen via setup-menyen på skriveren, om den ikke kan søkes opp automatisk ;)

Her et lettvint eksempel til etterfølgelse for oppsett via gui skjermbilder fra tidligere openSUSE 12.1 YaST av HP C309a, dvs. en AiO modell med full støtte for 'Print-Scan-Fax' i hplip. Skriv det ut på papir og følg oppsettet for trinn for:

Hp7520 har ikke støtte for linux står det på expert.no

Hp eller forhandleren gir vel typisk nok ikke offisiell kundestøtte/hjelp på Linux, og du finner neppe Linux drivere på CDen som følger med.
Antagelig er det bare dyrere postscript laserskrivere (bl.a Lexmark) som offisielt er velsignet med Linux-støtte.

Men iflg HPLIP har denne skriveren full Print-Scan-fax støtte på de mest kjente Linux OSene. Mer kan man ikke forvente og jeg ville følt meg rimelig trygg på at dette fungerer. Men det skader selvsagt ikke å google litt rundt, før bestilling ;)

Regner med å kjøpe en i butikk hvor Linux er spesifisert som ok til linux.

ser denne er godkjent for linux hos komplett.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8600e blekkskriver AIO

har max os x 10.2 sliter med å finne at den passer der står kun 10.6 etc...

Sitter bare med en Android mobil her. Men følg de to øverste svarpostene mine på denne siden:
1. Last ned kun rpm for Suse
2. Klikk på fila i filhåndteren så pakkes den ut.
3. Lagre fila.
4. Finn shellskriptet og kjør det i terminal som root, som før nevnt. Da installeres driveren.

Jeg lastet ned rpm filene i går og trykket åpne ikke lagre på alle 4 downloadene.

Jeg finner ikke manualene eller mappene de ligger ikke i download.

Gjør det ikke vanskeligere enn det er.

1. Start med nedlasting av printerdriveren (rpm fil nr 6 på min liste).
Selvfølgelig må den lagres etter utpakking.
2. Deretter, finn og kjør install-skriptet 'install.sh' som root.
Dette er tilsvarende på både rpm og deb Linux distroer.
3. Når driveren er installert, settes skriveren opp på SUSE med 'yast2 printer' som skrivere ellers.
